What are teasers?
Teasers are the same as parlays, except they include a movement of the pointspread in your favor. They still have the same potential of winning larger amounts of money in less time than straight bets. And like parlays, you have to win every bet within the teaser for the wager to pay out.
What kinds of teasers are there?
There are different teasers allowing you to buy more points. Obviously, the more points you get, the lower the payout will be, but the more you should win. Football teasers are generally 6, 6.5, or 7 points. Some sportsbooks offer 10 and 13 point teasers. Basketball teasers can be typically add 4, 4.5, or 5 points, but 7 and 10 point teasers can be found as well. Points from teasers always work in your favor… If you buy a 5 point NBA teaser, always add 5 points to the team you chose.
How many teams can I pick in a teaser?
Typically, sportsbooks offer anywhere from 2 to 8 teams in a teaser. Teasers must be played from the same sport.
What happens if a team I pick ends in a push?
The teaser will then become the next lowest teaser. For example, a 4 team teaser becomes a 3 team. If you bet on a two team teaser, the wager is cancelled and your stake returned.
